Al Rayyan player aims to see his fellow Colombian add the millionaires league trophy to his accomplishments
Figurehead of two Champions League conquests by Real Madrid, in 2016 and 2017, James Rodriguez wishes, despite his link with the Spanish emblem, that Liverpool lift Orelhuda by affinity with a colleague from the Colombian national team.
“I want Liverpool to win. I have a lot of friends at Real Madrid, they are a difficult team in these types of games, but I want Lucho (Luis) Díaz to win,” said the Colombian player of Al Rayyan, during a conversation on the Twitch platform with Angellot Caro, Colombian futsal player, and Jaime Echenique, the first Colombian in the NBA.
Real Madrid and Liverpool, who respectively beat Manchester City and Villarreal in the semi-finals of the Champions League, repeat, on May 28, at the Stade de France, in Paris, the final which took place in 2018, won by the Whites by 3-1.
According to the English press, James Rodriguez, along with Radamel Falcao, advised Luis Díaz to accept the transfer to Liverpool in January, as they understood that it suited the Colombian star’s style better.
