A row between disgruntled groups has ended in the death of a 26-year-old man who was stabbed this morning during the celebrations of FC Porto’s national championship title, next to the Estádio do Dragão, in Porto.
The two groups, which are referenced by the authorities for attacks on physical integrity and petty drug trafficking, are not linked to the FC cheerleading team. Porto and the authorities believe that the disagreements could have arisen in another context, other than title celebrations.
The PSP, which was there to secure the festivities, was the first to intervene, but in the meantime the case has been passed on to the Judicial Police, who are already listening to several of the actors in the episode.
According to a note from the Metropolitan Command of the PSP do Porto sent to PÚBLICO, “at 2:40 a.m., in Alameda das Antas, during the festivities and in a place of great agglomeration of people, the police officers who were part of the police apparatus been informed that a disturbance had occurred.
They went to the scene and when they got there, the note continues, “they found a citizen and a citizen, both lying on the ground and bleeding, to whom first aid was given and the services of competent medical assistance were called”.
The report points out that the PSP preserved the scene of the crime and proceeded to the identification of several witnesses who witnessed the attacks. “Apparently, the assaults that caused the aforementioned death occurred as a result of prior disagreements and assaults between the actors,” says the note sent to PÚBLICO, which states that “it has been possible to identify the suspects of the attacks”.
The two victims were rescued on the spot by the National Institute of Medical Emergencies (INEM) and transported to São João Hospital, in Porto. INEM told Lusa that the request for help was registered at 02:47.
According to a source from the INEM, it would be “a stabbing attack, which injured two people, both aged around 30”. The injured were assisted by two emergency medical and resuscitation vehicles (VMER) and two INEM ambulances, according to the same source.
The man, already “in cardiorespiratory arrest”, was transported “in resuscitation maneuvers” to São João, and the “slight” injured was also transported to the same hospital. The PUBLIC knows that the woman is out of danger and will be released at the beginning of the afternoon. The two will have had an emotional relationship, with a history of domestic violence between the two.
It was also found that the groups involved in the feud already knew each other and were allegedly involved in several conflicts, not reported to the authorities, which occurred during the night of Greater Porto, related to the excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages, misunderstandings and episodes of jealousy. .
The fatal victim was suspected of having participated in another brawl, which involved around two dozen individuals and security guards at the Pedra do Couto nightclub, in Santo Tirso, around three weeks ago. During this incident, one of the people involved went to the car to take a gun, with which he fired several shots in the air. However, when he returned to his car, he ended up inadvertently hitting a 22-year-old friend in the back, as the Newspaper.
When the police arrived on the scene, everyone had already fled, but the intervention of the authorities made it possible to detect a vehicle used by the group abandoned on the A3. The occupants would have moved to another car, intercepted shortly after on the highway by the GNR, which identified three men and two women inside. This incident has nothing to do with what happened this morning during the festivities in Porto, but it helps to frame the experience of the mortal victim. with Lisa
