Moreirense coach Ricardo Sá Pinto has been suspended for 15 days and fined 2,805 euros due to verified incidents during the game against Vizela, in Moreira de Cónegos, last Saturday, for the 34th and final round of the I Liga, according to the most recent sanction map of the Disciplinary Board (CD) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), published this Thursday.
The penalty dictates that Sá Pinto will therefore be out of the substitutes’ bench in both games of the playoffs for their stay in I Liga, against Desportivo de Chaves, whose first leg is this Saturday 21, with the second match, in Moreira de Cónegos, scheduled for May 29, Sunday.
In the document, the CD of the FPF justifies the suspension and the fine by “the attack on the honor and the reputation and the slanderous denunciation”.
“The head coach of Moreirense, Ricardo Manuel da Silva Sá Pinto, walked part of the field towards the upper north bench, where some of the Vizela supporters were still located, and addressing them, he said. he audibly declared by the GNR Force Commander, the expression “Take it, take it ***” while performing two types of gestures with his arms. One with both arms outstretched and semi-raised in celebration, and the other with one arm vertical and the other horizontal, crossed in front of the chest, a gesture commonly known as the cuff. The execution of these gestures and the remarks made were perceived by Vizela’s supporters as provocative, followed, in general, by a wave of insults. Since that moment, the supporters still present on the bench began to sing in unison the song “e oh Sá Pinto vai pro cara ***””, one can read, in the card of penalties.
