Zouhair Feddal has confirmed he will leave Sporting at the end of the season.
In an interview with Jornal do Sporting, the Moroccan central defender assures that he will always be rooted for the greens and whites.
“I will be a lion forever, I will always support Sporting and I will try to follow the club as much as possible. Wherever I am, Sporting will always be a great club for me and I will always wish them to continue winning many titles and to be the best in Portugal,” he said.
Feddal says he always takes with him not only the titles, but also the people he met in Alvalade.
“I will always remember [o Sporting] with great affection, remembering the times I have lived here, the trophies I have won and remembering the people I have met here”.
And when it comes to people, there’s a leonine symbol that the player admits he’ll miss the most.
“From Paulinho, the wardrobe. I have a very good relationship with him, he has always treated me with great affection and he is special. He gives his all for Sporting, he is a symbol of the club and an example of going beyond everything. He is a very funny and very important person for us, ”he underlines.
Having played an important role in the rapid break-up of the national title, in a team that mixes experience and youth, Feddal also leaves a message for the youngest, among the praises of Amorim.
“To the younger players, to those in training, I also say that they continue to work because with Ruben the opportunity will arise,” he said, before congratulating the coach.
“Really appreciated [de trabalhar com Amorim]. He is a very young coach, but he has a lot of knowledge. I will be eternally grateful to him for giving me the opportunity to come to Sporting. I wish you good luck and hope you achieve all your goals. He deserves all the best because, to me, good people always deserve the best.
