In eastern Ukraine, the Russian army is apparently stepping up its attacks on several towns. The enemy has “partially” succeeded, the Ukrainian General Staff said in its report on the current situation. Russia is also expanding its forces in the Donbass with hundreds of new military vehicles.

According to Ukrainian sources, the Russian armed forces have intensified their attacks in the east of the country and gained ground in some areas of the Donbass region. “The enemy is continuing its offensive efforts in the eastern operational zone with the aim of establishing full control over the Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions and maintaining the land corridor to temporarily occupied Crimea,” the state said. Meanwhile, Moscow is strengthening its forces in the sector of the front near Sloviansk, one of the most important targets of Russian offensive efforts in Donbass. According to this information, approximately 300 new military vehicles have been moved to the area in preparation for further attacks.

According to the management report, however, there have been few changes in Mariupol. There, the defenders entrenched in the steelworks would continue to be bombarded by the Luftwaffe. Artillery battles are reported from southern Ukraine, both from the Zaporizhia region and in the direction of Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih.

More recently, Russian and Ukrainian troops fought again in the area between Cherson and Mykolaiv.
