After two seasons, Sílvio ends his contract with V. Guimarães. The player said his goodbyes this Sunday after going a few minutes in the 5-0 rout against Gil Vicente, a game that was played behind closed doors.
Sílvio signed for Vitória two years ago, after V. Setúbal’s fall in the non-professional leagues, but he was unsuccessful in his move to Guimarães. In 2020/21 he has played 12 games, this season only two: 12 minutes in April against Paços de Ferreira and 13 minutes yesterday.
In the message posted on instagram, the full-back mentions that he has affection for the club, but leaves a message to the technical staff led by Pepa: “I feel 100% (…) If I don’t didn’t play what I wanted, it was just a technical choice. »
Here is the message:
“What a fantastic club.
I would have liked to help more on the pitch but unfortunately it was not possible.
Thank you for the way they welcomed me when I arrived here. I quickly felt at home, I quickly made good friends, and that is why it is so difficult for me to say goodbye.
I wish the club the best of luck in the world, that they have peace (often they are the only person they need) to achieve the expected results.
Finally, a small aside to remove some doubts.
I feel 100% for a long time. If I didn’t play what I wanted, it was just a technical choice.
This option that must always be respected, be resilient and not accept!
A big hug to all Victorians.
See you on the lawns!
