“Never say never”
Melania flirts with returning to the White House
Since leaving the White House, the former first lady has hardly appeared in public. Melania Trump is now giving a rare interview on Fox News. She alludes to a return to the control center of American power.
Former US First Lady Melania Trump is not ruling out a return to the White House. “Never say never,” the 52-year-old said in an interview with Fox News on Sunday. The wife of ex-President Donald Trump responded when asked if she could imagine the seat of government in the US capital Washington becoming her home again. It was the former first lady’s first long interview since leaving the White House.
She and her family are doing very well right now, she said. “Life is beautiful and keeps you on your toes.” Trump said his “greatest honor” was to be the first lady of the United States. “I liked dealing with the White House. It was my home for a while.” She also loved the city of Washington.
Melania, 51, moved into her husband’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida in January 2021 after her husband’s term ended. She has hardly appeared in public since.
The former first lady had made herself very rare in public after her husband’s departure from the White House. More recently, it had started selling non-fungible tokens (NFTs) – that is, digitally protected originals – on its website. She had announced that part of the profits were to benefit the children.
There has been regular speculation about the couple’s relationship for years – especially as Melania Trump has repeatedly caused a stir with gestures seen as a sign of distance. Melania is Trump’s third wife. The couple have been married since 2005 and have a son together.
