PJ detained Marco ‘Orelhas’ son on suspicion of young man’s death on night of FC Porto title celebrations

The judicial police of the North arrested Monday evening the suspect of having stabbed to death a supporter of FC Porto during the celebrations of the conquest of the 30th title of champion of Porto. The information of the detention was provided by the PJ in a statement made public on Tuesday and the identity of the detainee was confirmed by the Grandstand Express.

According to a police source, the murder had nothing to do with football or with disputes over control of the night: “Earlier this year, the fatal victim allegedly assaulted the suspect’s sister and since then there has been there were assaults between the two families. “. On the night of the crime, Igor, the victim, was attacked by several people and as he walked away he was attacked by Renato, who allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife that was in one of the trailers. to stab the victim “several times”., who died in the premises. A woman who was trying to help him was also shot.

Renato was on the run, but he expressed his willingness to surrender. Although there are more people involved in the attacks – including, allegedly, Marco “Orelhas” – Renato is the only suspect and accused in Igor’s murder. The murder weapon has not been found.

“The Judicial Police, through the North Directorate, identified and arrested last night, 05.09.2022, a man for the crime of aggravated homicide,” the statement read. The victim, Igor Silva, was 26 years old.

According to the PJ, the detainee is 19 years old, is a cleaner and has no criminal record. “There will be the first judicial interrogation for the application of the coercive measures deemed appropriate”, indicates the police.
