The French champion, who should refresh the attack this summer, joins the long list of European emblems interested in Benfica’s top scorer
Darwin Núñez continues to accumulate pretenses. The Uruguayan striker from Benfica, top scorer in the Bwin League, is on the list of potential reinforcements for PSG (Ligue 1).
According to the newspaper L’Equipe, in an article published this Wednesday, the Parisian emblem, become champion of France, turns to Darwin as a hypothetical replacement for Kylian Mbappé, whose contract expires in June.
In addition to Mbappé, who received, despite the interest of Real Madrid, a millionaire proposal for a contract extension, Mauro Icardi is also excited to leave the City of Light, so PSG will refresh the attacking front this summer.
Darwin has, in 2021/22, caught the eye of several European giants, meaning PSG will have stiff competition if they are to move on to sign the Uruguayan international, who scored 26 goals and four assists in the Bwin League.
The Benfica striker has been coveted for several months by, among others, Arsenal, West Ham, Newcastle, Manchester United, Inter, Milan, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid. The player’s release clause is set at 150 million euros.
