‘Sharks’ interest in Benfica goal drives up market value

O Benfica have their eyes on PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré, but he won’t be the only one in the race. Expressly requested by Roger Schmidt, according to the national press, the Ivorian midfielder is watched by the eagles, but not only.

write the DailyMirror this Friday that Chelsea are also interested in signing the 24-year-old. This interest, however, could leave Benfica out of the running. The same source claims the Blues are waving €35m, a value which could be way more than the Eagles are willing to offer.

In this fight, the Daily Mirror also says that Manchester United were already there. The Reds, who will have Erik Ten Hag in charge in the new season, see Sangaré as a cheaper option for the job. The priority target was Declan Rice, but he could cost more than 150 million euros.

Ibrahim Sangaré has played 48 games this season for PSV, with four goals and four assists.
