Solitaire game. Benfica and SC Braga have spoken in recent hours about the eagles’ desire to bring back to the red house a player who trained there until the under-17s.
Ricardo Horta, 27, since 2017 in the service of the Arsenalistas, is one of the men wanted by Benfica to be the pillar of the new project designed by SAD incarnate, with Rui Costa and Rui Pedro Braz in the lead, to deliver to Roger Schmidt, coach who should be formalized next week as the new helmsman of the Luz team.
The people of Braga have been aware of the interest in Benfica for a few weeks – António Salvador, president of SC Braga, and Rui Costa, leader of Benfica, have already spoken about the subject – and so very early Salvador started by indicating the value of Horta’s termination clause (30 million euros) in the last approaches, the values on the table have been significantly lower, but still far from what every emblem will understand as acceptable to do business. On the side of Minho, there will be no big opening to lower the 15 M€, a sum which a year ago was on the table for a transfer abroad. On the red side, the objective is to lower this value by including in the deal the passes of winger Gil Dias and right-back João Ferreira, players who appeal to the arsenalist structure.
